Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson
“When I told my friends I was going to be a comedian, they laughed at me,” said our birthday day boy on his beginning in climbing the comedy ladder. Prop comic Carrot Top made a career out of taking everyday objects and turning them into comedy gold. He has gone from local gigs to colleges to national tours to headlining his own room in Las Vegas. All of this done with four trunks full of wacky props.
He once starred in the film Chairman of the Board, a painfully unfunny comedy. In comedy circles, he has become the man to hate. Of this, he once said, “It’s weird, I never wish anything bad upon anybody, except two or three old girlfriends.”
He once did commercials for AT&T and was a guest judge for Last Comic Standing. He was also a part of the Comedy Central Roasts of Flavor Flav and Gene Simmons.
We here at ComedyGuys are not such a fan of the prop comic genre but we sure would love to have Carrot Top’s money.
