Joe Pesci is known for playing mobsters and mob bosses, gangsters and gang members. He has been seen as a low-life in Raging Bull, Home Alone and the Lethal Weapon series.
In 1990, he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the film Goodfellas. His speech for winning the Oscar was the shortest ever–he just said “Thank you.” The telecast was still over-time.
More than just a pretty face, Joe has recently broadened his skill-set. He produced the play Jersey Boys, a musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He also had a small part in getting the group started. Some say he was the inspiration for “Walk like a Man.” Better that than “Oh, What a Night.”
