Breaking news from DallasNews.com:
The NTTA will institutes a toll rate increase of 5.9% in July, with similar increases set for every two years.
These toll rate increases are intended to match the increasing costs of building and maintaining toll roads in North Texas.
According to the Dallas Morning News Transportation Blog, “NTTA’s current toll rate is 15.3 cents per mile, which would mean a $795.60 yearly bill for a toll road commuter who drives 20 miles round trip to work each day. That same driver will pay $842.40 a year under the new rate.”
