“Novelists have always had complete freedom to pretty much tell their story any way they saw fit.  And that’s what I’m trying to do,” said Oscar-winner Quentin Tarantino.

This maverick film maker takes different genres and spliced them together into films that are equal parts exploitation and violence.  He is quoted as saying “I steal from every movie ever made.”  Does that include Santa Claus Conquers the Martians?

As a director, he has made Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, and Django Unchained.  As a writer, he let Oliver Stone butcher his Natural Born Killers script.  He once said, “Violence is one of the most fun things to watch,” and we don’t think he was referring to the news.

Using his clout as a director, Quentin has begun slating the moniker of “Quentin Tarantino Presents” on small and foreign films such as Switchblade Sisters, Curdled and The Mighty Peking Man.  He said, “I want to top expectations.  I want to blow you away.”  Does he mean that literally or figuratively?

Quentin has said, “All my movies are achingly personal.”

We here at ComedyGuys.com believe that statement.  Since most of his films run three hours, we are “achingly personal” to go to the restroom after each one.
