Drivers are supposed to concentrate on their driving, but what about passengers and pedestrians. Shouldn’t there be more for them to look at than just the side of one more building or the usual, function-driven stripes on the road?

The people at Street Art Utopia evidently agree.

Their slogan is “We declare the world as our canvas,” and their Website is an impressive collection of outdoor paintings from around the world.

Some are the kind of guerrilla grafitti that can be seen in most cities, while others are obviously authorized and planned decorations of buildings, walls, and roadside projects.

This is a close-up of one of the photos in a collection called “11 Roadsworth Street Art Photos.”

The style range from beautiful to cutesy, from traditional art to ultra-modern. Some are incredibly original, while others are obviously tributes to influential artists. But all of it serves one purpose: to entertain the eye and the imagination of drivers and pedestrians far more than just another brick wall or bland advertising billboard.

It starts with giving a kid some chalk to draw on the sidewalk. Next thing you know…the kids a artist. Easy as that. It’s better art than roadkill, I guess. Ewww.
