Barbara Feldon is basically known for one role “Agent 99” on Get Smart.

This Mel Brooks & Buck Henry created spy spoof series from the 1960s was full of over the top humor and crazed characters.  Feldon was the ‘straight’ woman for the antics of funny man Don Adams.  She was nominated for an Emmy award in 1968 & 1969.

Over the years, she has appeared on such diverse shows as Laugh-in, Flipper and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.   Her more recent work has included Mad About You and Cheers.  She was also a much sought after model and commercial spokeswoman.

“I’ve always supported myself,” she said.  “I like the sense of knowing exactly where I stand financially, but there is a side of me that longs for a knight in shining armor.”  We here at ComedyGuys are shining up our cod pieces.

She still performs on off-Broadway productions but has given up acting for writing.  She published Living Alone and Loving It in 2003.

In an interview with TV Legends, Feldon explained how she was cast as Agent 99.
