What is an online defensive driving course? What’s the difference between taking the course online and in a classroom?
Simply put, it is a course in defensive driving that is presented online using text with audio, animation, and video clips. Like a classroom course, state-approved online courses must meet the state’s legal requirements, take six hours to complete, and cover the eleven topics required by the TDLR.
Our classroom course is more lively and interactive. It puts you with a group of people in your same situation, with a live instructor and includes a meal.
Working online is more efficient, allowing you to work alone, progressing through the curriculum at your own speed. Though both classes are six hours long, the biggest advantage of the course online is that these do not have to be six consecutive hours. You decide when to login and how long you want to work.
